Since our establishment in 1890, our firm has been built upon a foundation of care with compassion and respect for all who come through our doors. We continue that strong tradition today, and we are constantly striving to improve our services by staying abreast of important developments and trends in the funeral industry.

Our philosophy is simple. We believe in providing quality service regardless of individual situations. Everyone who comes to us has the same need. Every person we serve is special.

We are sympathetic to the needs of those who come to us, and we intend to see that the wishes of the family are carried out completely. A death in the family is a stressful event, but what we strive to do is ease as much of their burden as possible. We handle those details that families are either unable or prefer not to deal with, and provide assistance in many areas, not just funeral arrangements, but legal problems, estate settlements and insurance claims.

Our Location
Located approximately one and one half hours from Charlotte, North Carolina, and the popular Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina, lies Cheraw, South Carolina "the prettiest town in Dixie." Cheraw is known for being the birthplace of Jazz legend, Dizzy Gillespie. This beautiful historic town embodies all the best aspects of small town life and Southern charm and gentility.

Norton Funeral Home is located on the beautiful tree lined Third Street, just a few blocks off of South Carolina Highway 9.
